Courtney & Mike | Nags Head Beach Wedding | Glam & Lace

With a crazy turn of events, this Nags Head Beach Wedding at Mallards Marsh  went off without a hitch (literally).

Courtney & Mike were originally planning on having their wonderful wedding reception at their ocean front beach house provided by Resort Realty, but with some crazy and unfortunate weather, their nuptials were moved to a different location. This wedding will particularly stand out in my mind because of the change in location.  This can happen from time to time in the Outer Banks due to the weather being so flighty and as a lesson learned, you must always always always have some sort of backup plan.  You never know what is going to happen and with this particular one, the ceremony and reception could not be moved indoors due to space issues within the beach cottage.  Our team had to spring into action to find an alternate location within a day or so of the wedding.

The ceremony was absolutely breathtaking and wonderful to see two very loving people say their vows and become husband and wife.   Ruth Wyand played the guitar as guests arrived and as Courtney walked down the aisle in her beautiful fit & flare gown.  It was a magical moment to see the smiles from ear to ear from both the bride and the groom.. I think I may have even shed a few tears myself.  Gail with The Embellishers provided the decor for the event along with the flowers for the wedding party and she did a fabulous job.  Everything was stunning from the paper lanterns hanging in the ballroom to the twinkling lights draped throughout the reception site.  Sandy Brookshire with OBX Celebrations provided her officiating services and the ceremony wording was so heartfelt.  Deborah Sawyer Photography captured some unforgettable moments and DJ Parker B had the guests dancing all night.  Cafe Lachine provided bar services as well as the scrumptious array of food for the event.  I cannot stop thinking about the catered BBQ meal that they provided for Courtney & Mike’s wedding reception.

Even with the unpredicted change, Courtney and Mike seemed so happy that they were finally married and I think that everything was just perfect for them.  They were even able to go to the beach for photos!

To the beautiful couple, we were so happy to have been a part of your day.  We wish you a Happy 2014 and please keep in touch with us! It was truly a pleasure!!
